Happy Thanksgiving
to you!
Today is a
time to celebrate all that you are thankful for. In all the
hustle and bustle that goes on for most people today of cooking, travel, family
dinners or getting together friends, don't forget to take at least a few
moments to say 'Thank You', and to think about the many things you have to be
grateful for.
Thanksgiving
is a time to be grateful, to have an 'attitude of gratitude'.
I'd like to
suggest though that you make every day, a day of thanksgiving. Develop an
'attitude of gratitude' on an every day basis.
In last week's
ezine I wrote that 'you reap what you sow', and that includes your attitudes.
Want to have
more to be grateful for? Develop an attitude of being grateful for what you
already have. 'Sow' a grateful attitude, to 'reap' more to be
thankful for. Besides, being grateful and thankful just makes your life more
pleasant and enjoyable, not only for you, but for those around you.
Don't believe
me? Here are a few quotes from well know people I found online concerning an 'attitude
of
gratitude'.
“What you
focus on expands, and when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create
more of it. Opportunities, relationships, even money flowed my way when I
learned to be grateful no matter what happened in my life.” - Oprah
Winfrey
“Develop an
attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you,
knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and
better than your current situation” - Brian Tracy
“Gratitude is
riches. Complaint is poverty." – Doris Day
And finally,
for those who may think they don't have a lot to be thankful for, one last
quote.
“Let us rise
up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a
little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we
got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.” -Buddha
Everyone can find at least something to be thankful for. The more you have a grateful attitude, the more you will have to be thankful for.
